An industrial WTP purifies raw water from borewells, rivers, or municipal supplies by removing turbidity, suspended solids, heavy metals, hardness, and microbial contaminants to supply clean water for industrial processes and boiler feed.
A standard WTP includes raw water intake, coagulation/flocculation, clarification, multi-grade sand filtration (MGF), activated carbon filtration (ACF), softening or demineralization, and chemical dosing/disinfection.
WTP capacity is calculated based on peak hourly water consumption, raw water quality analysis (TDS, TSS, hardness, silica), process requirements, and storage tank turnover rates.
WTP systems remove scale-forming calcium/magnesium ions, silica, and corrosive dissolved gases, preventing boiler scaling, tube fouling, heat exchanger degradation, and costly plant downtime.
